Kenny Cooper Scores as US defeats Guatemala

FC Dallas' Kenny Cooper scored the game winning goal for the US National Soccer Team last night as they defeated Guatemala by a 2-0 score in Colorado. It was Cooper's first start in a World Cup qualifier and his 2nd international goal in 3 appearances for the USA.
Cooper was dangerous in the first half as well but was caught just offside a couple times after receiving good passes. He was his typical aggressive, active self causing problems alongside Jozy Altidore for the Guatemalans all evening. Cooper was subbed in the 76th minute of play as the match was 2-0 in favor of the Americans.
The US now awaits their draw for the final round of CONCACAF qualifying. The top 3 teams from the 6 team group will advance to the 2010 World Cup to be held in South Africa.
