SMUs Schellas Hyndman Interviews for FC Dallas Job
Published 6/6/2008 10:51:01 AM by staff from dallasnews
SMU men's soccer coach Schellas Hyndman said Wednesday that he has interviewed for FC Dallas' coaching job. Hyndman said he met with club general manager Michael Hitchcock and Hunt Sports Group president John Wagner on Monday. Hyndman said he has not been offered the position and feels comfortable at SMU, where he has been men's soccer coach since 1984.
"I have an interest in the FC Dallas coaching post," said Hyndman, who leaves today for Switzerland to watch the first week of the European Championships. "I hope FC Dallas makes a decision in the near future."
Hitchcock did not return phone calls. FC Dallas has been under interim coach Marco Ferruzzi since May 20, when Steve Morrow was fired.
