Hebron and Coppell to meet in 6-5A showdown

A powerhouse boys-girls double-header between District 6-5A powers Coppell and Hebron is on tap for Friday at Coppell's Echols Field. The girls will play at 6pm with the boys to follow around 7:45pm. Hebron's boys are 14-0 and ranked #1 in studentsportssoccer.com's national rankings whle Coppell 14-0-1 is #5 nationally. Both are 1-2 in the Dallas Morning News Class 5A area rankings.
Coppell's girls are 12-0-1 are ranked #8 nationally and #1 in the metroplex currently and led by Florida signee Jazmyne Avant and Texas bound Emily Erickson. Hebron's girls are #3 locally and led by Missouri signee Kelsey Blincow. Hebron has been on a roll since a rough 2-2 start at the Frisco ISD Tourney, when it lost to McKinney and Plano East.

The TCU womens soccer team notched a 3-1 conference victory over New Mexico at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium behind a pair of goals from Jordan Calhoun. The game was played in front of 919 spectators and was the conference opener for TCU.
