Dallas Classic League spring gets kicked off

The spring season got kicked off for the U11-U14 boys this past weekend. The fight for byes and top standings will continue to grow through the spring. Here are some games of note.
Under 11 '96s--
The opening weekend saw a huge matchup between two of the top squads from the fall. Dallas Texans Red South were able to knock off the Dallas Texans Red team by a 2-1 score. With the win the South team jumped over Red and into 2nd place for the year. Solar stayed in 1st place with a tight 1-0 win over 7th place FC Dallas. Dallas Texans East provided an upset when they defeated 4th place Andromeda Titans. DFW Tejanos rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit to defeat FC Dallas Black and move into 9th place.
Under 12 '95s --
Dallas Texans Red South stayed atop the league after a 8-1 thumping of 6th place FC Dallas South. Dallas Texans Red kept pace in 2nd with a 6-0 win over Andromeda Titans. Solar Red, ASG and Solar made the top 5 winners in all 5 games on the day.
Under 13 -- '94s
Solar stayed atop the league as they rolled to an easy 6-0 win over 6th place Andromeda Titans. Dallas Texans Red stayed 1 point behind in 2nd after they dispatched DFW Tejanos 3-1. In an important match, Texas FC was able to defeat Solar Red 3-1 and leap into 3rd place as Solar Red fell to 5th.
Under 14 '93s --
The big match of the day was between 2nd place DFW Tejanos and 3rd place Barcelona. It lived up to the hype as the teams battled to a 1-1 draw. Barcelona fell to 4th with the point as Dallas Texans Red used a 5-1 win over 9th place DFW Tornados to jump into 3rd place. FC Dallas won an important match 1-0 over Solar to open some ground between the two.

The TCU womens soccer team notched a 3-1 conference victory over New Mexico at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium behind a pair of goals from Jordan Calhoun. The game was played in front of 919 spectators and was the conference opener for TCU.
