Boys High School Soccer Kicks Off -2007

The high school season got started in a big way in Texas yesterday with numerous local tournaments and pretty much everyone in action. The tournaments run through Saturday, but could be affected by a major cold front and rain that is entering North Texas.
Southlake looks to be very strong once again after last years regional finals appearance. Two goals in the first 3 minutes allowed them to cruise to a 3-0 win over LD Bell. Keller Central looked quick and solid in a 6-0 win over a weak Arlington Lamar squad. Brownwood upset class 4A power Aledo in Aledo. Richardson Pearce beat traditional powers Coppell 2-1.

The TCU womens soccer team notched a 3-1 conference victory over New Mexico at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium behind a pair of goals from Jordan Calhoun. The game was played in front of 919 spectators and was the conference opener for TCU.
